Tamara Spell
Tamara Spell is a mother, veterinarian, and writer based in Arizona. She lives with her husband and son, along with a beautiful rescued Himalayan cat named Luna.
Her job as a veterinarian has taken her first to Florida, then to the Middle East. After that, she worked from home for several years writing content for pet and veterinary companies. This time spent writing also allowed her to pursue something she'd always dreamed of: writing books.
Now, Tamara balances part-time veterinary work with being a mom and finding some time to write. Her five feline characters were inspired by real-life cats (including Luna, whose gentle nature and fluffy appearance inspired the character of Snowball).
Tamara Has won five writing contests with American Writers and Artists Institute, and her Supercats manuscript placed as a finalist in the 2020 Pacific Northwest Writers Association Literary Contest. Her writing has appeared in:
- All About Cats
- Dog Cancer Blog
- DrAndyRoark.com
- The Barefoot Writer
- B2B Writing Success
- Wealthy Web Writer
- In the Know Traveler
- Great Escape Publishing
- Confetti Travel Cafe
In her free time, Tamara enjoys getting lost in meditation (which she's been practicing since 2010), ballroom dancing, solving puzzles, and relaxing at coffee shops. Her favorite stories are written by: JRR Tolkien, JK Rowling, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, and Paulo Coelho.
